A bibliography video based on the Italian fashion designer, Gianni Versace. In this video, I try to incorporate the design ideas Gianni had for his brand as an attempt to represent him as a designer since the brand Versace plays a crucial role in his lifetime.
Process
I started by researching the topic of plastic pollution in the ocean. I then summarised the information to focus mainly on statistics for the video. This is mainly because I wanted to create an infographic-style video. I then created two mood boards to decide on my typography style as well as my visual style. I then cut down my ideas to create two style frames that I could use for my video.
Debunking Myths
This video was made for UC Davis to go along with the article written on Bats in the UC Davis Magazine. The article can be found here: https://magazine.ucdavis.edu/debunking-bat-myths/
Process
I first read through the article and simplified the information to use in the video. I then broke down the different myths and created graphics to animate to go along with the text. I created a hierarchy by changing the font size to emphasize the most important point being made. Since this video was released on Halloween, I decided to use a black and white color scheme. Moreover, added music to make the video more engaging.
